I met Carolyn this weekend in Tunica Ms. I have a son-in-law that is a firefighter in Auburn Alabama. I wish to say how hearing her tell of her brother was very touching. Having been on the police department I can relate to the risk, the under pay and the under estimation the general public has of our police and fire. It is not enough to say thank you to all the fire fighters and police but that is a beginning. Carolyn it was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to see you again soon. Cricket

I just found out that I'm related to Patrick Brown and am sorry I never go to meet him. I would like to say hello to his sister Carolyn. My grandfather Ed Lynch (NYPD) was an older brother of Pat and Carolyn's grandmother, Marie Lynch Brown. Ed and Marie's parents, James and Bessie Lynch came from Co. Leitrim, Ireland to Brooklyn in 1889.

I just ran a race over the weekend, Hero Rush. I was honored to be able to wear Patrick J Brown as the name on my bib. I ran the 343 wave, in honor of the 343 that gave their lives that horrible day. After the race, I googled Patrick and am even more honored now that I was able to remember such a wonderful, giving gentleman. I posted on the Hero Rush facebook page about him so that everyone that ran that race can view the what an amazing cause it is to be able to honor our fallen brothers and sisters with their event! It is great to see how many lives he touched and changed!
