I had the honor of meeting Pat and speaking with him on several occasions. He had an uncommon combination of intensity, kindness, humility and a kind of hyper-vigilance. I'll never forget his Memorial Service. I visited the 9/11 Memorial yesterday, and paused for a few moments at his name. Thank you, Pat, thank you.

I too ran the Hero Rush, and I ran it today also with Patrick J. Brown on my bib. This was a true honor to run in the 343 wave and not only honor Patrick but also to honor all of the 343 that was taken on that day in September. I felt like I had an angel with me today. I had been training to run a race that I was told was going to be a 5K with 15 obstacles. The ran was 5 miles and 20 obstacles. So to Paddy, I thank you for running with me today. You are a true HERO!

I met Carolyn this weekend in Tunica Ms. I have a son-in-law that is a firefighter in Auburn Alabama. I wish to say how hearing her tell of her brother was very touching. Having been on the police department I can relate to the risk, the under pay and the under estimation the general public has of our police and fire. It is not enough to say thank you to all the fire fighters and police but that is a beginning. Carolyn it was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to see you again soon. Cricket
